As i mentioned in the previous post, one of the things we’ve been working on is the next Black Book Sessions. Black Book Sessions is a non-profit organization committed to empowering and inspiring young, talented minds. They’re dedicated to helping kids & teens develop their artistic skills and build their confidence. The Wild Ones have always been down to support the cause. So after brainstorming with Tim, a couple meetings, and some lunches, on July 10th, BBS8 will be hosted by Killer Distribution!! I will post the info on it with in the next week. You can visit them on their website, www.blackbooksessions.org. Thanx again for lunch Mr. Tim, This is gonna be “Killer”!

Went over to 7-11 in NOHO yesterday for the grand opening of Rob Dyrdrek’s Wild Grinders 7-11. Rob and the Wild Grinders crew hooked up with 7-11 to build out one of the stores into a Wild Grinders, kind of like the 7-11’s that were turned into Kwik-E-Marts. The end result looked great! At the same time, the new NOHO skate park was unveiled across the street. Here are a few pix of the wall we painted for the Wild Grinders, it’s 16′x60′, good size wall, and a lot of fun. Thanx to Big Steve, Dire, Dan, and Ock, we got it done in a few days.

Hasn’t been 3 weeks and already Shepard Fairey’s May Day Mural, an advertisement for his show at Deitch Projects, has been tagged. The mural, located on Houston and Bowery (New York), was bombed early this morning. There are a lot of mixed opinions on this, but everyone needs to realize, that’s graffiti. That is where Shepard Fairey got his start. No denying that.
Big ups to ADEK JADE FUCT REFRY. This is REAL GRAFFITI.

Frank Frazetta, prolific painter of so many Conan covers and Tarzan illustrations and pseudo-futuristic Buck Rogers adventures, reportedly died Monday in Fort Myers, Fla., after a stroke. He was 82. Below is one of my personal favorites from this amazing artist and also a tribute video. We will miss you Mr. Frazetta, your art will live on forever.
