We got these nice new Risky slaps in recently, Sik Tim is already getting them to work. Here is a pic Mr Tim sent me with love from France. I’m not sure what DARTY means, but I have to say Risky sure is DARTY!!

While I was talking with Risky he mentioned that he went to check out a graveyard screening of the cult classic “WILD STYLE” Here are some pix that Risky shot over, for more info on this amazing event check out Risky’s blog. All I can say is damn!! This picture of Lee and Risky is bad ass!!

Went out to Thousand Oaks yesterday for a visit with the man himself. Before I started heading out, I mapquested the address, not realizing that it was about 100 miles away! It was a long ride, but well worth it. Risky is one of the guys responsible for what has become West Coast graffiti, and has inspired many in the game. It’s an honor to be working with him on this upcoming collaboration. We also had the homies from Mahfia.com come out and shoot the paint session. We’ll post the video announcing the drop date soon, very soon. For now, here are some pix from the day.

Jeff Soto and I have been friends for about 20 yrs. We got together and came up with a couple collaborations this year, one being a Jeff Soto x TWO collaboration that will have a limited release this Holiday, and an all doors release in the spring of 2011. It was really good teaming up with my old friend Jeff on these projects. We will release some peeks at the upcoming project in the next couple of months. My homie Steven sent me these pics of a new Mear piece off of La Brea. Mear has always been an influence on me, beautiful work. From the his technical ability of drawing figures and objects, to his elaborate compositions, amazing work. I believe this is a tribute to Alfonse Mucha, another great artist. The proceeds will go back to BBS for future events and scholarships that they give a way at the end of the year. The last couple of weeks have been pretty busy here at home base, but good, real good. Here is an update on what will be going here at Black Book Sessions this Saturday. We have Skull Candy that has jumped on with some awesome give aways, the Icee company will here with some tasty refreshments, some good food from Wahoos, along with some grilling by Hawg City, we have Redbull coming through, some Vitamin water to quench your thirst, and much more going on. We have live art going on by some of the best artist in our industry today, OG Abel, Jeff Soto, Craola, Risky, Munk One, Chase Tafoya, Deph One, Xpres, Dire One, Dayne Henry, and many more! We got Big Boys Neighborhood on the DJ stand, Funny Bones Crew are joining us as well, and some very nice looking rides for your viewing pleasure. This is all for you, come enjoy and be inspired. BBS is set up to help motivate and support our youth in art, and is free of charge! Bring your artwork and show off your skills, or just come by and have a great day!

Here it is, Black Book Sessions 8! It will be held on July 10th at the Killer Distribution warehouse. We will have the Famous Stars and Straps family along with The Wild Ones crew, OG Abel, Risky One, Estevan Oriol, Jeff Soto, Greg “Craola” Simkins, Deph, Munk One, Chase Tafoya, Dire One, Xpres, Jason Gallo, the list goes on…. These guys will be getting down on walls and canvases the day of the event. Along with Big Boy’s Neighborhood and Power 106 DJ’s jumpin on the 1’s and 2s. Also come check out some Killer rides, and enjoy some good food catered by Wahoos and Hawg City. I can keep goin on about what will be gion down, but the main thing is what Black Book Sessions is about. There will be the the art contests for the 3 different age groups, which will be given prizes for the top 3 pieces in each age group the day of. At the end of the year Black Book donates a scholarships to the top kid of the year. Last year was so good that hey gave away 2 scholarships!! These guys are bad ass!
